December is the time when we usually look back at work that has been done and set new milestones for ourselves. The IRT3000 magazine project has been additionally upgraded in the year coming to the end: we have published six issues for a total of almost thousand pages or, considering the weight of the arguments, more than three kilograms of professional material. The postmen have delivered approximately 24.000 copies or 13 tonnes of professional information, knowledge, data, advice, reports, articles and contributions. Furthermore, our IRT3000 magazine publishing project in Croatia that has been going on for a year has been accepted very well. Therefore we can claim this year as very fruitful for the IRT3000 magazine. read >>

Automotive industry is constantly facing difficult challenges. Whereas the previous years were mainly spent improving the safety of vehicles, time is now ripe for ecology. People demand environmentally friendly cars, as they are one of the biggest polluters making the already unhealthy living conditions even worse. The title of this editorial was the central theme of two-day event PODIM, which took place in March in Maribor. All the participants – including the well-known domestic and foreign lecturers – have stressed the importance of this resource, criticising the companies that fail to recognise the value of human resources. We have started a new volume of IRT3000, hoping the new year will be as successful and fruitful as the last two. The first two months in 2008 have been marked by quite a few interesting events, such as the second Slovenian innovation forum, IFAM 2008 fair and the first strategic conference of technical industries. We were able to listen to valuable speakers at openings and professional meetings, telling us how the ties between science and economy will have to be intensified even more and raised to a higher level. read >>

First issue of IRT3000 magazine in Croatian language

It has been two years since the first issue of IRT3000 magazine was published in Slovenia. The magazine has been accepted really well among the readers, the fact that is reflected in continuous enlargement of its volume. Namely, the volume of first issue was 120 pages, while the last issue contains more than 160 pages of professional and popular science articles, general information, reports on domestic and foreign events as well as achievements of Slovenian companies. read >>

The four largest specialised fairs Forma Tool, Plagkem, Foundry and Graf&Pack have presented to the Slovenian audience all the novelties and the directions of development of technologies, which are coming to the market or are currently still in the phase of development. The fairs attracted a very large number of visitors, proving these branches of industry are very strong and the flagship of Slovenian industry. This year’s IFAM international trade fair of automation and mehatronic, held in the Celje Zlatorog venue in the beginning of February, is hardly a trade fair. As a matter of fact, its specialised content makes it more of a “meeting of experts”. IFAM evidently knows the recipe for a successful specialised event, since it has managed to increase the number of visitors by 130% - from 650 in 2006 to ca. 1.500 in 2007. read >>
