MITUTOYO, the Japanese metrology specialists, push forward their range of hardness testing machines and introduce a new generation of their HV-100 series Vickers hardness testing machine and new Micro-Vickers HM-200 hardness testers. The new devices come in a choice of four different variants with manual or motorized stage and touchscreen or PC control.

The premium manufacturer of precision dimensional measuring equipment MITUTOYO dedicates to further extension and advancement of their range of hardness testing machines. As of now, a new generation of their tried and tested Vickers hardness testers of the HV-100 series enters the European markets. The system provides the ideal solution for accurate and repeatable measuring of metal materials in accordance with ISO 6507-2 and JIS B 7725.
The new MITUTOYO HV-100 series enters the markets in four types named A through D, ranging from a highly evolved basic model operated via a touch panel up to an all sophisticated software-controlled model with autofocus function. Furthermore, customers can choose between a low test force type (HV-120), which also supports some loads of the low force Vickers load range, as well as the conventional load range, and a general purpose type (HV-110) supporting the conventional test force range.

The A-type is operated by a fully re-designed, easily operable colour touch-panel and constitutes the basic type of the model range. The high-performance motorized test force switching function and the motorized turret mounts are engaged via the touch panel. The types B, C and D are controlled by the highly sophisticated AVPak-20 V2. The dedicated image analysis software enables automatic indentation, excellent automatic edge detection capability and completely eliminates reading variations and visual error, eliminating operator measurement errors. The sophisticated program supports control, testing and report creation and is capable of automatic switching of the indenter and the objective lens.
The B-type is equipped with a manual stage, the C-type features a motorized stage that makes for quick movement and, hence, saving of time. The type D variant boasts an automatic autofocus function, contributing to ease of use, measurement reliability and safety.
With an optional test force weight the HV-100 series is even up for Micro Brinell testing up to 62,5 kilograms.

High performance re-launched: new Micro-Vickers HM-200 series hardness testers

New sophisticated generation of the HM-200 series Micro-Vickers Hardness Testing Machine comes in a choice of four different variants with manual or motorized stage and touchscreen or PC control.

The tried and tested MITUTOYO Micro-Vickers hardness testers of the HM-200 series are popular throughout the branches for reviewing the hardness of metals. Four different variants have been on the customers disposal. Now the Japanese hardness testing experts launch a highly refined new generation, ideal for quality control and mechanical characteristics evaluation using Vickers hardness testing of small areas, in accordance with ISO 6507-2 and JIS B 7725.
The new MITUTOYO HM-200 series is – like the predecessor – available in four types labelled A through D, ranging from an all-in-one model with touch panel operation up to the top end device with motorized stage and autofocus function. The test force can be adjusted between 0,4903 mN and 19610 mN.
With a fully re-designed, easily operable touch-panel control and a USB interface for data readout to a memory stick, the HM210/220A constitutes the basic type of the model range. The positions of the indenter and the objective lens can be automatically switched using touch panel operation, or manually. The B-type features a manually movable stage and automatic measurement of indentations. The user executes the measurements by help of a camera system and the high-performance PC software AVPak-20 V2 that comes with the models B, C and D as a standard, eliminating operator measurement errors. The sophisticated program supports control, testing and report creation and is capable of automatic switching of the indenter and the objective lens.
Additionally, the C-type features a motorized stage that makes for quick movement and rapid shift between workpieces, applicable for execution of patterns for multi-point testing. The type D variant boasts an automatic autofocus function, contributing to ease of use, measurement reliability and safety.
