Varied cost-efficiency benefits and uniquely universal

20.05.2025

M4000 is the universal system for users who want to have as many options as possible. Whether used in shoulder milling cutters, face milling cutters, high-feed milling cutters, chamfer milling cutters, T-slot milling cutters, helical milling cutters or routing cutters, the M4000 only needs one type of indexable insert.

This is because the square system inserts can be used in all of these different tools.* The benefits are obvious: Reduced inventory and procurement costs combined with maximum efficiency, in terms of cost and performance.

M4002 high-feed milling cutter

High number of teeth, low cutting tool material costs
The M4002 high-feed milling cutter is perfect for difficult tasks and tools with a long overhang, for example in mold and die making or in general mechanical engineering. Its shape enables long tool life and excellent cutting data. It can be used with steel, cast iron, stainless steels and difficult-to-cut materials. Thanks to system inserts and wear-resistant Tiger·tec® cutting tool materials, it reduces process costs while maximizing cost-efficiency.

Quick, rigid and productive
Optional cutting inserts with a curved cutting edge and the optimized insert thickness make the M4002 incredibly rigid and reliable. Further improvements can be achieved by using the special indexable inserts with secondary cutting edge for better surface quality or a large corner radius for a more stable cutting corner.

M4132 shoulder milling cutter

An excellent choice for cost-efficiency
M4000 system inserts in three insert sizes (SD..06T2..., SD..09T3... and SD..1204) make the M4132 shoulder milling cutter with an 89.75° approach angle suitable for universal application: For steel, cast iron, stainless steels and difficult-to-cut materials. Its versatility, reduced procurement and inventory costs, and four useable cutting edges per insert make it the perfect choice for cost-efficiency.

Precise performance thanks to positive profile
During finishing work, the shoulder milling cutter achieves maximum precision on the component due to indexable inserts with fully ground circumference and secondary cutting edge, which have been designed specifically for the M4132. The wear-resistant Tiger·tec® cutting tool materials and highly positive geometries ensure a low power requirement when roughing and high cutting data.

M4003 face milling cutter

Specialist for a soft cutting action
The M4003 is a 45° face milling cutter. Alongside the systematic benefits which are characteristic of all M4000 tools, such as low inventory and cutting tool material costs, it also boasts some specific strengths. For instance, it achieves an outstanding surface quality when machining components in unstable conditions, in other words when low cutting forces are needed.

Universal yet systematic
The M4003 is suitable for rough, semi-finishing or finishing – whether this involves steel, cast iron and stainless steels, difficult-to-cut materials or non-ferrous metal. This is because the soft cutting action and highly positive geometries also make it ideal for soft materials such as aluminum. To achieve top-quality surfaces, wiper inserts paired with Tiger·tec® Gold cutting tool materials are the number one choice.
